Braindead

Ok, I need some fast brainstorming. I need some phrases to go before I end my poem PRICELESS.
Like, I could say Paying for Christmas this year was spendy. another cute sentence, then another, then my grandkids are the last of the poem. Sarah, your good at this...help me. Anybody??? Pam!?

More babies?

Yes, there are more babies being born in the Crapo family. Our only son, Jared and his wife Becky had their 2nd girl today at 1:30 PM. Becky did an amazing job and Jared was so good to sit still and not get in the way. ha-ha. Blair and I now have 8 grandkids. It's really an exciting time in our lives. It's payback time for us, so our kids will know what we went through, when we had them. You would think I had given birth today, I'm so tired, but I was just a proud mother and grandmother. It wears me out. Going to bed.... nighty, night.

Turkey Coma

I swear the food we eat on Thanksgiving is to die for. Why do we take days to get it all ready and minutes to devour it? Kelsey, Joe and Chance came over for leftovers. Brittany cut Chance's hair today and boy is he handsome. I asked him if he was going to see Grammy, Pappa, and JuJu. He said Livy to Nanna. Such a smart, polite kid. Here is a pic of his new do.

Happy Turkey Day

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Whoever said "Grandkids are your reward for not killing your kids" was right. We've got almost 8 grandkids. Kelsey called me and said Chance pooped in the potty. I laughed and told her I'll bet she never thought she'd get excited over her child doing the #2. I'm grateful for sleep when it comes. They used to call my mom Snotty Lottie when she was young, because her nose always ran. They should call me Auntsy Ann because I can't stop fidgeting and thinking of stupid projects to do in the middle of the night. Yes, they are stupid when it's 1:30 in the am and I want to go in and start the quilt I put on today or start decorating for Thanksgiving. Maybe I'll do both. I'm thankful for family, friends, and the Lord, who has such great wisdom in all things.

Stop the Insanity!

Ok, this is bad. I may have to delete my blog. It's worse than my obsession with changing the color of my walls constantly. It's worse than my continually moving furniture, changing clothes umpteen(alot) times a day because they don't feel or look right. Now, I think of everyone elses blogs and how cute they are or the color or content of mine doesn't look right. So if you happen to look at my blog and it's changed, then you will know I'm in the insanity mode. I've been like this all my life. I can't sleep, so I'll get up and rearrange furniture. Blair is blown away when he gets up and his bed has been moved in the middle of the night. He is a sound sleeper. Before I was married, Mom broke her little toe when she got up in the night, and forgot I had moved the living room around. She stubbed her toe on the leg of a chair I had moved. Our baby grand piano is a piece of cake to move. Insane for now...but working on it, I'll leave my blog like it is.. I don't know, maybe the font should be a differernt color. Ok, ok the font is fine......for now.

Twins

Well it happened! Blair and I made it to see Jen and Brandon's twins born on election day. Something good came out of the day in spite of the election. Reese(girl ) was 5lbs 12 ozs and Deacon(boy) was 4lbs14 ozs. Everyone is doing fine and that brings our grandchildren total to 7. In about 3 weeks we will welcome a little girl to Becky and Jareds family. Oh what joy we are experiencing.

babies-babies

Blair and I jumped in our cars and headed to Boise. We were hoping to make it this time for the new arrivals. Jenny is in labor with our precious twins, so we made it. Last time, she had Maili in a half hour, so we're hoping for a little longer with twins. Everyone should have babies as easy as Jen. Maybe not quite that easy but Becky (daughter n law) is so miserable with her pregnancy and it was 26 hours to delivery Aralynn, who was suppose to be a boy. Catch ya later with an update.

Spiderman

How's this for cute? I opened the door and there he was holding his Elmo bucket with mom and dad hiding in the background. He knew he was the hit of the night. What a kid.

Having to say something of some substance everyone can read is scary. I've been busy doing what I can to stay busy. Just waiting to get THE phone call to go to Boise for Jen and Brandon's arrival of their twins. Pam is going to have to keep me centered , focused or whatever so I can be a help not a pain in their butts. Pam is so focused on what needs to be done and behold, it gets done. I just sort of run in circles and make more work for everyone. I've been making quilts for the grandbabies. Brittany had a pieced a levi quilt that I took apart and made smaller so her nieces and nephews could each have a quilt. I made journals for babies and a wedding one for Brittanys friend who is getting married. They are fun and fast. See ya later!

Poor Farmers

It's 11:00 pm and the farmers are still outstanding in their fields. Harvest is a tiring, stressful time for us. Blair, Joe and all the crew are still working. Trying to get their crops they have worked so hard all summer, in the potato pits or warehouses. I feel guilty when Blair comes through the door, so tired and has to get up and do it all over again the next day, and the next. It will be over soon, I hope. Snow will fall and then they will pace the office wondering what to do with themselves until spring comes and it it time to do it all over again. My hats off to all the farmers in America.

Snow is a four letter word!

I was in Boise, visiting and when I got home. Boom...we are hit with snow. The cold and wet stuff that slows down my driving to a dangerous snail pace. The fireplace, fuzzy socks, sweaters and heated carseats have become my new best friend. I have so many projects to do before my 3 new grandbabies come. I'll just hunker down and stay in where it's warm. Blair and everyone are trying to get the potatoes harvested . It's a stressful time for all of them. It's kind of like having a baby. You plant, water, give nutrients, continually watching them grow and get ready to pull them out of the ground and put them somewhere they will be safe. Only difference is, we sell to the highest bidder. Brittany, Jared, Chance and Joe had birthdays not very long ago. I'm glad they were born. Colters b-day {Brynne's boy} will be 2 on the 27th of this month. So much to do, so little time. See ya

I'm pumped and ready!

I woke up today and decided if anyone was going to improve my quality of life it would be my face looking back at me. I went to the park and walked around TWO times. I whoosed out at one but my body just kept on walkin'. My weight is getting higher the same as my age(maybe a little higher) but I'll be damned if I going to be bent and feeble at 29. ha-ha. I have a great family who is depending on me for whatever reason, just as I am depending on them. I am seeing my bros and sisters decline in health and years but I choose to go the other route and look at my kids and especially my grandkids and hold on to the young. I will grow old, while hopefully trying to stay as young as I can. I might not walk tommorrow or ride my bike but I will have a good sense of what direction I want to take.
I am making seasonal pillowcases for my grandkids. The ones I'm working on now are for Halloween. Then I will make Christmas ones. Every year they can put on their cases and dream of spooks, goblins and Trick or Treating. When Christmas rolls around they can dream of Sugar Plums Dancing , magical elves, Santa and snow(yuk).
